IBCC Visit 2019
- Visits are organised on the wishes of the membership.
- There is a mixture of visits varying on type and distance but normally on a half-day basis.
- Ideas are generated by the members and there is a sheet at the general meeting for members to show their interest. If enough interest is generated then the convenors try to organise the visit.
- Every effort is made to avoid other group meetings but it is not always possible depending on the requirements of the place visited.

Hall Water Treatment Works, near Newton on Trent – Confirmed as Wednesday 9th October
Following the successful visit to Westgate Water Tower last year, a tour of the above operational site has now been arranged. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about how our water arrives!!
The tour will take approximately one and a half hours and site safety inductions will be carried out beforehand. Some elements of the tour will be outside, so appropriate clothing should be worn, including sturdy footwear. Steel toe cap boots are recommended. There are parts where we will be climbing large staircases. Members are asked to check whether they will be ok with this and also to being above ground.
No charge is made for the visit as it is the aim of Anglian Water to spread the message as much as possible to the public regarding how we treat water, and also the importance of saving resources where we can.
A maximum of 20 people can be accommodated, in 2 groups. 20 people have already signed up for the visit and several are on the reserve list. If anyone booked to go on the visit has to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible in order that the place can be given to another member.

We welcome ideas from members who have enjoyed visits and would also encourage those who would like to take a turn at arranging an outing themselves (with or without our assistance!!)
