Mahjong

  • Mahjong is a tile-based game of strategy and concentration and involves a degree of chance. It was developed in China in the Qing dynasty and has spread throughout the world since the early 20th century.
  • Sheila Snowden has played for many years and has now started a Mahjong Group for Lindsey U3A. She is joined by Val Dunn, an experienced player and teacher of Mahjong, who will provide instruction and assistance. This is a great opportunity to learn a new skill, or for regular players to continue their enjoyment of the game and perhaps help and encourage others.
  • The group meet at Welton Methodist Church on the first Wednesday of the month at 10 am until 11.30am. There is a charge of £2 per person, to cover hire of the room.
